William Hutton & Sons was a manufacturing silversmith firm founded in 1800 in Birmingham and later transferred to Sheffield in 1832. The company had eight departments, which included metal casting and rolling, spoons and forks, electro-plated holloware, sterling silver, cutlery, Britannia metal, plating, and repairs. In 1867, Hutton’s won a Gold Medal at the Paris Exhibition.

Unfortunately, the firm was taken over by James Dixon & Sons in 1930.
